Over the course of four to eight weeks, we partner management teams to answer three primary questions:

WHAT IS THE BUSINESS PROBLEM?

We ALWAYS start with the business problem - not the data.  Collaborating with management, we tightly articulate the problem. For example, in hospitality, a business problem could be: reduce the cost of inventory by 5%, or, decrease churn from our e-commerce platform by 10%.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO SOLVE IT?

We then transform the business problem into a clearly defined analytical use case, such as demand forecasting of daily sales per item, or a churn model to estimate the likelihood of customers to leave.  And identify the data we need to solve it, such as sales, transactions, weather, events, etc.

HOW ARE WE GOING TO GET IT DONE?

With the problems & potential use cases identified, we compile an actionable roadmap capturing all aspects required to deliver the solution from proof of concept to commercially viable - encompassing strategy, analytics & data, people, & infrastructure (SAPI).  Plus, we build the investment case to underpin the sustainability of the project.  Everything is then consolidated into a comprehensive report.
